We spent three wonderful days in Barcelona and are here on Las Ramblas. We found Barcelona to be a vibrant city mixing ancient and modern. We stayed in the Barri Gotic which is the true heart of the city with tiny, narrow winding streets full of shops and restaurants.

This market was our favorite part of Barcelona. We started every morning here picking up fresh fruits from the endless vendors. They were all fresh and delicious and we ate loads of pineapples and strawberries.
El Monumento is a statue of Columbus pointing out to sea. This was his hometown after all.
These 13 geese, and their ancestors, have been guarding the courtyard of the cathedral for centuries.
Here is the Templo Expiatorio de la Sagrada Familia. The cathedral was designed by Gaudi work started on this cathedral in 1882. They still have 30-40 years to go!
This is the "block of discord". This is a street where three famous architects decided to get very creative so the buildings don't match at all.
This is called La Piedra (The Stone). It's an apartment building built in 1905 by Gaudi. It's quite famous.
This is the Olympic Harbor in Barcelona. Where they hosted the sailing during the Olympic in 1992.
BEACH TIME!!! This was the boys FAVORITE part! I guess they know their parents have ocean in their blood.
The water was SO cold that it would take your breath away! However, it didn't stop the Boys from playing in the water.
Seth enjoyed the taste of sand. :)

I am so glad you guys are taking advantage of your time in Europe. What a wonderful gift for you and the boys. The shots on the beach are the best.
